A native of Peru, South America, Luis Strohmeier has a BA in Economics from Ball State University. While at Ball State University, Luis was a member of their varsity tennis team in 1988. In May of 1989, Luis joined Equitable Advisors and in 1996, Luis received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and CERTIFIED DIVORCE FINANCIAL ANALYST (CDFA) professional designations. Luis has built a diverse client base and focuses on financial, estate, and retirement planning strategies for high net worth individuals. Luis is now a managing partner of Midwest Financial Partners, LLC.

 

Luis has received several distinguished awards through his affiliation with Equitable Advisors. Luis has 3 Silver Eagles, 7 Bronze Eagles, 23 National Leaders Corps, 2 Presidents Cabinet, 5 Centurions, 7 Summit citations, 3 Bronze and 3 Silver Production Growth awards, and 8 lifetime achievement awards (Hallmark 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 , a Distinguished Service Award, a Hall of Fame Medal, the Order of Excalibur, the Superior Achievement Award and the 2014 Regional Honor Associate) from Equitable Advisors. Luis is a recipient of the Dayton Business Journal’s 40 under 40 and was also the National Congressional Committee’s Ohio Business Man of the Year for 2004.

 

In addition to his work with Midwest Financial Partners, LLC., Luis is a past member of the Dayton and Cincinnati Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a past president of the Dayton Financial Planning Association, and a past chairman of the Dayton Playhouse Inc.. Luis is a past committee member of the ACS Dayton White Out Cancer Gala and brought the ACS White Out Cancer event to Miami for their 2010 and 2011 galas where he was a committee member as well. Luis has been involved with several panels at Equitable National Conferences and was a past board member of the elite Paramount Planning Group at Equitable Advisors. Luis is also a current advisor to the Equitable Hispanic Advisory Council and a past executive committee advisor to the Equitable National Advisor Forum in 2012.

 

Luis has been a dedicated supporter of several medical associations across the United States. He is currently on the board of directors for Hope After Divorce and is a co-founder of Veronica’s Love (an initiative for children cancer patients and their families).  Luis is a board member for the Endowment Committee for the Peruvian American Medical Society and a past member of the endowment for the United States Colombian Medical Association.

Luis maintains residences in Ohio, Florida, and California with his family.
